Dictionary source file
« on: July 14, 2014, 06:07:35 am »
Hello everybdy,

I am currently working on an android dictionary/helper application for dothraki. Some of the planed features are:
  • automatic conjugation
  • automatic declination
  • support for multiple translations (french and english first)
  • support for online update (download AND upload)

As I would like to save my time from encoding every words and definitions, is there a way to get a data file (xml, plain text, or even SQL dump) of the dictionnary?
Thanks in advance.

Laurent,
    Welcome to the Dothraki/Valyrian forums!
Considering the way Dothraki declension/conjugation works, what you are proposing would certainly be a useful tool.
SQL dumps of the dictionary data are indeed available (updates are uncommon at this time, simply because not much is changing). Other foramts are possible.
I am very unexpectedly up to my rear end in alligators, after returning from a wonderful week at AvatarMeet (we had a Dothraki bloodrider show up at one event!). Give me a few days, and I will give you an SQL dump link. If I don't respond right away, just keep pestering me ;)
Don't tell Khal Drogo I am here ;)
