Allo, just a short message since I'm fighting a cold. I am ShadowedSin from LearnNavi also DarkenVise on Youtube. Resident Conlanger and lover of nomadic peoples (Mongol is on my list of languages to learn!). I am also a major fan of the Dothraki people and their civilization in ASOIAF.
I'm also a college undergrad working on a degree in Cultural Anth and Linguistics. I also do constructive language and culture work.

Western Washington University :)

Cool. Any chance you have a linguistics society there? I selfishly ask because I set up this (http://lingstudents.wordpress.com/) and I am trying to get more people involved from around the world.

Yup we have a linguistics club I could bug the president soon. I'm going to be doing a presentation on Amazon sometime later this year for the club too.

Ah, cool dude! What language would 'Amazon' be? I'm not familiar with it.
I looked up the page - are you guys doing Sanskrit now?

Amazon is simply "Aɲazon" IPA being [ɑɲɑʒon]. Just me working on it, I do use Sanskrit, Persian, Greek and Classical Greek as sources for the Conlang.

Ah, your conlang from the LN boards. Forgot about that temporarily. Cool dude.

Just spent three hours last night working over the postposition system.

Nice.
Conlanging takes so much time. I spent three hours last night reading a book. Probably should have been conlanging.

Been studying Semantics for the past two nights. When I'm done it's an anthro essay and then studying on Anth religion stuff. But I have a book on Sanskrit Grammar and a book of basic Indo-Eurpean languages to read. I love my universitys massive syntactical listings. We have two books on Old Church Slavonic!
