Zhey Hrakkar, I am so sorry to hear of your loss of your beloved 'Nala'. :( I can understand how sad you are.

I hope you soon are able to join the chats.

Hope to make the chat today. Working on posting the Word Groupings onto the Wiki. Not sure if I will make it back in time, unless I stay where I am at, as I might be in transit.

Zhey Hrakkar, are you going to be there? Haven't seen you in a bit. Hope you and everyone here had a wonderful Thanksgiving and for those in countries where there is no Thanksgiving, a wonderful day! :)

Started posting the Dothraki Word Groupings I already mentioned working on.  I look forward to all the ruthless edits and corrections (especially in the grammar section).

Creating all the tables is time consuming. I originally worked in MS Word. Not finding an easy way to keep the tables, I am recreating them by hand on the Wiki.

I have already started entering, but it will take me a little while to complete it. It won't be done at a single sitting, as I hoped. :)

Hope it's helpful.

Incredible job! Athdavrazar! That is an absolutely amazing costume and an amazing craftsmanship. I definitely need to commission you to make me some Khaleesi gloves with all that extra leather scraps you have! :)

Another recalcitrant TV translator today, zhey Hrakkar? Hmm how do you say "recalcitrant" in Dothraki? :)

The list of animals we have are listed as animate and inanimate. Example  horse or a bee are "n" (since currently it isn't known which they would fall under) and a bear "na,", while a goat or a dog or rabbit was "ni."

Would animals in general be animate? Can you tell the difference if they are not?

Hrakkar since this is a post that would be good to locate in the DP thread, can anyone with admin privileges, move it to that thread rather than re-posting? I would but I can't. :)

I was just reading over the number system.
How is the number 20 "chakat" formed?
Following the pattern 21 would be "atchakat", 22 "akatchakat"... 29 "qazatchakat"?
How about for 30, 40, 50 ...90?

Responses to: "Hash yer dothrae check?"

This came up in our ICQ chat on September 28th.
"Hash yer dothrae check?", lierally "Do you ride well?" would be a way of asking "How are you?". In the Reno presentation dialogue example, the second lajak replied "Voessechi!", literally "No way", which would mean "Not well"?

Could responses also be:
"Vos. Anah vos dothrak chek." (No. I do not ride well.")
"Sek. K'athjilari. Anha dothrae chek." (Yes. By righteousness. I ride well.)
"Vos, I am tired." (No. I am tired.) - It was thought may not be correct response, because the literal question is "Do you ride well?"
"No. I do not feel well. (Here a lajak may not admit to being ill or not feeling well, but they may say it about someone else in the khalazar I would think.)
"I am OK." (Neither well or unwell.)

Also, how would one distinguish between saying someone, like that non-Dothraki, is a a poor/good equestrian, versus well/not well?

"Dothras chec", in the dictionary, says "Be cool!". Would that be a way to tell someone, "Take care!"? or would that be  "Fonas check" (hunt well), distinguishing, between in English, "Take care!" can be "goodbye" or more seriously we can say "Hope things go better" or "Take care of yourself"?

Seasons... what would be the words for summer, winter, fall, spring?

Temperature?  I see the word for hot, but not for cold, warm? What of other tactile vocabulary, such as soft, rough, smooth, hard, tough, tender? :)
