Translation question: portmanteau of fireheart?
« on: April 01, 2016, 03:48:47 pm »
Hello, hopefully someone can tell me how to properly form a portmanteau of the words fire and heart, fireheart. In (High) Valyrian ofcourse.

I've found that fire is perzys, but that something consisting of fire uses part of the word zālagon instead (in example zaldrizes for dragon). The word for heart is prūmia.

Now I doubt I got it right when I'd say zalprumia or zalprumes and perprumia, perzprumia or perumia probably isn't it either, so what is the correct spelling of fireheart? I'd greatly appreciate if someone can tell me the answer!  :D

Hello Sara!

I'm not an expert, but I think I might help you. Firstly, I would not try to translate fireheart in one word. I'm a spanish speaker, and some words work different in other languages. For example, there's no word for fireheart in spanish, we say instead corazón de fuego, literally in english: heart of fire. I think you should translate heart of fire, instead fireheart.

I hope I've helped you.
